When Nick sets his mind to something he can move planets! In 2009 he decided he was going to be an Ironman! And on Saturday at Challenge Wanaka 2010 he achieved his goal (at least the swim part – all 3.8km! ).

Next year he is going to do the 180 bike leg and I, having been so inspire by him, will do the swim leg.  After all next year’s event falls on our wedding anniversary so it seems fitting to do something together!

Thanks so much to Nick’s Trio Con Brio team mates, his cousin Bill (run -42km) and his wife Anke (cycle – 180km) – Well done team for coming 5th in the mixed teams! Come on 2011!

I never thought I could love him more, care for him more and enjoy being with him more than I did on this day a year ago.
